Resumo

The divine declarations that illuminate your way of life are the same ones that guide my own.

Tradução moderna em inglês

It is demonstrated by divine examples that the visitation of heavenly persons does not come except through the grace of God. For what remembrance can there be of sinners, unless heavenly favor works by hidden paths and by a way inspired in minds the forgetfulness that could creep in on account of sins is eliminated? Confidence in the divine mercy already obtained is that God is not absent from the souls of his worshippers. Therefore I give thanks to the Trinity, our God, who required your reverence to visit me with conversation. I receive also your obedience: for no small worship is owed to the obedient, since the glory of Christ abides in the one who commands. Pray for me, you who have escaped the frailties of humanity while you are still human, whom it has befallen, not yet separated from the body, to be absolved from the weights of the flesh, and accepting the services of greeting, grant me the fruit of grace as the cultivation of speech matures.
