Innocent writes to Laurentius instructing him to drive out the heretics who follow the poisonous teachings of Photinus. Those who have denied and continue to deny right belief are to have no part in salvation. It is Laurentius's duty, as dearest brother, to carry out what has been prescribed without delay, lest through negligence he lose the flock entrusted to him and begin to render account to God for those who have perished.
